I do love Penni's Medieval creations and have several in the collection now for various dolls. I've only had problems with one of them to date - a black velvet dress that I put on Solitary Sojourn... it stained her upper arms a fair bit and I've not used that dress on her since without using a full bodysuit on underneath as the colour still continues to run out of it a bit when given a soak - even in cold or tepid water! 
Below is the very first medieval style dress I got off Penni, my Always Playing Solitaire Ell (Bailey) got to wear this one and hasclaimed it for herself
The grey dress arrived not long after the purple one and Pru likes to wear that one
